In 2020, Google Cloud converted their Next event to a fully digital experience. Taking their list of speakers, announcements, workshops – completely online. To support this new experience, we joined Google in ideating and creating ways to reach the Cloud audience. It all started with a particular look and feel that kicked off with the mark.
Next came a color palette, one that stemmed from the Google brand. A gradual addition gave the branding a unique, staggered visual element.
A mixture of abstract shapes combined with the color palette gave the event a subtle visual resource that was used across all materials.
With it being a digital event, Next was heavily promoted online – especially social media. The look/feel was kept simple, using the unique patterns mixed with photography and plenty of white space. Here are some sample executions that were used to promote different areas of the event.
To break up the flow of event promotions, we mixed in fun, creative support. Here's an example of a weekly recap visual.
A ton was featured and announced at the event. Near the end of the event, a highlight reel type video was put together to give the audience a short snippet of what happened during the event. A fun, snappy video that was used across all of Google Cloud's channels.
